Crystal House - Apartments

Case Study - 9 luxury apartments and commercial unit, Crystal House, Norwich City Centre

This proposed residential development consists of 9 generously proportioned apartments, offering luxury housing in a sustainable central Norwich location. The apartments are generously proportioned internally, and all have individual amenity spaces in the form of roof terraces or balconies. Secure car parking is available for six of the nine apartments and each apartment is allocated two cycle storage spaces.

The pallet of external cladding materials selected have been chosen to be clean, subtle and to weather well. The brick external wall on the ground floor has been included to reference the original warehouse buildings and includes flint feature panels paying homage to the flint infill panel that featured at the lower end of Pigg Lane. The proposal is to reclaim the flint material from the demolition of the east wall and reuse the flint material in a contemporary ‘flint banding’ to the masonry elevation down Pigg Lane.
